The Project

In Shorekeepers, you play as a lifeguard whose duties go beyond watching over swimmers. A child approaches you after making an important discovery: a hidden turtle nest on the shore. Recognizing the significance of the moment, you take on the task of protecting the nest and ensuring the beach is a safe haven for the soon-to-hatch turtles.

Your mission includes two key tasks: securing the nest from disturbance and cleaning up the beach to protect wildlife. As you collect various types of litter, like glass, plastic, and batteries, you'll learn about the environmental impact of waste.

Through your efforts, you’ll understand the vital role of protecting the environment and supporting future wildlife.

Why Shorekeepers Matters

In a time when environmental awareness is crucial, Shorekeepers engages players with the challenges beaches and wildlife face due to pollution. Through interactive gameplay, players see the impact of human actions on ecosystems while protecting turtle nests and cleaning the beach, learning how small actions can make a big difference.

The game reminds us that caring for the planet starts with understanding the impact of our choices and encourages players to make positive decisions in real life.

Commands

• Movement: use WASD to move around the beach
• Interact: right-click to interact and collect objects or talk to NPCs
• Use: left-click to place or use the objects you collect along the way
• Diary: press Q to open your diary, where you can find current missions and an archive of the trash you’ve collected
